Bristol's Own Soups

posted on February 25th, 2011 by Michelle Salatino

Tomato Basil BisqueWith this cool air and threat of rain, one thing comes to mind for dinner; warm, satisfying soup.  Here at Bristol Farms, we pride ourselves on our homemade soups made from the freshest ingredients available.  We have several varieties to choose from; Chicken Noodle, Cuban Beef, Clam Chowder, and many, many more.  My personal favorite is the Tomato Basil Bisque, made from vine ripened tomatoes, onions, basil and a little cream in an all natural vegetable stock.  This soup is rich and satisfying and warms the soul.  Make it a complete meal with a small salad and nice piece of Artisan Bread from our Bakery or our Rustic Cheese Coins from our Cheese Department.  To make it extra special, enjoy with a glass of wine, and finish dinner off with some wonderful cheese like Fromager D’Affinois with Cherry Honey.  No matter how you serve our soups, they are sure to help warm you and your loved ones on the coldest of evenings.

Do you publish a daily selection of your delicious soups?

Thank you for commenting on our blog, Joan. The year-round soup menu consists of a core 5 soup offering that can be ordered, daily: Russian Cabbage, Clam Chowder, Matzo Ball, Chicken Noodle, and Tomato Basil Bisque, as well as a vegetarian option. The stores offer another 10 soups daily based on the season and they vary by store. Please call your nearest Bristol Farms deli department to find out the soups available for the day.

I used to live next door to the Bristol Farms on Fairfax and Sunset and late close to the one in Beverly Hills. My wife and I have since moved to NYC but still yearn for the tomato basil bisque! Is there a way to order it out here?

Hi Mike! Thank you for commenting on our blog. Unfortunately, we cannot ship perishable items due to the risk of compromising the food’s temperature and safety reasons. But, we understand how you feel…the Tomato Basil Bisque is one of our favorites!! We hope you can visit California soon and come by to see us to get your fix. Let us know if there’s anything else we can assist in.

Hello, I’m looking for nutritional information for your menu of soups. We are tracking our calories and are having Cuban beef tonight. Wondering how many calories per serving? If you have a list of all your soups that would be great! Thank you, bt
