Acoya Sauvignon Blanc Special!
by Michael Cristillo, Wine Buyer
Sometimes we come across deals that are great, fabulous, terrific! Then there is the category of down right stupid (in today’s generational lingo, that translates to “beyond awesome”). For wine aficionados, it makes the wine angels sing. The Acoya Sauvignon Blanc has everything going for it – vibrant aromas of green apple and fig, with laser-like mouth watering flavors of Asian pear, citrus, melon, apple, and quince. This gem is a match made in heaven when paired with barbequed poultry with a chipotle glaze, grilled sea bass or halibut, and anything where goat cheese is required – which should be most everything. And a good sign that the wine is of a high quality, this Sauvignon Blanc was tasted 2 days after it was opened and it was still kicking and making a fuss.
A few folks we sampled the wine on guessed it would retail in the $14 to $17 range. Wrong! Normal retail is $9.99. But since you are reading this blog post, we have to make a statement, so we’re swinging our bats for the bleachers and offering this beauty on a 2 for $10 promotion. That’s $5 retail per bottle (just checking my math here). And with Summer upon us, there is no better elixir for the warm climes than a chilled bottle of Sauvignon Blanc. Now that’s downright awesome! Enjoy!
