Meal Prepping for the New Year

I think we can all relate that life is busy! We are all caught up with work, school, the kids, and other mundane tasks, such as getting an oil change or cleaning house. All this busy stuff often hinders our passionate intentions for taking on healthy eating habits for the New Year. We take shortcuts (enter fast food) in planning dinner, and grab a doughnut in the morning while telling ourselves “just this once!” Don’t let these plan-b options turn your resolutions upside down. Plan ahead with a meal prep program!

Meal prep is about planning ahead for healthy eating. With a meal prep program, all of the work is done at the beginning of the week (the best time is on Sundays). It’s more cost effective and can be a fun event shared with friends or a “prep partner.” The idea is to create large batch meals and perfect portions to last you throughout the week. This way, you’ll have all your meals cooked, conveniently packaged, and ready-to-grab as you fly out the door.

Meal prep starts with having the right vessel or container. Our Kitchens Department has a fantastic offering of meal prep containers and food storage.
