Just One More Family Meal Shared

Through the program, we encourage families to slow down, join together, and share just one more delicious meal per week. We know how busy life can be, so we’re happy to help by highlighting some super simple, healthy meal solutions with items found in store to help make that happen.

Additionally, regular family meals are linked to the kinds of outcomes that we all want for our children: higher grades and self-esteem, healthier eating habits, and less risky behavior.

1 Bristol Farms Rotisserie Chicken, 5 Simple Meal Ideas

Who doesn’t love biting into the crispy skin of a rotisserie chicken? Or the moist and tender meat that just falls off the bone? Our rotisserie grill right here in store rolls out the biggest, juiciest fresh-cooked chickens all throughout the day. And of course, as always, our chicken is always free of antibiotics and hormones.

Meal 1 – Rotisserie Chicken paired with our Signature Sides
This one is our easiest of meal solutions. No preparation or shortcuts even required! Visit our Deli and simply pick up a chicken, a variety of signature sides to warm up at home and voila! You’ve got a delicious meal that is made fresh from our kitchens with the best quality starter ingredients. You can read all about our signature sides in detail here.

Meal 2 – Pulled Chicken Lettuce Tacos
Pull chicken off the bone and shred on a cutting board. Add about 1 lb of chicken to a large non-stick skillet and add taco seasoning with 1/4 cup water. Cook down over low heat until most of the water has evaporated. Add a small can of drained golden corn and heat through. Turn off the heat and top with fresh chopped cilantro, about 2 tablespoons worth. Tuck 2 large spoonfuls of chicken into freshly washed large lettuce leaves and fold like a taco. Enjoy these alongside seasoned Spanish rice.

Meal 3 – Lentil, Squash, and Chicken Arugula Salad
Steam peeled and roughly chopped butternut squash and red beets ahead of time and refrigerate until cool. On a large plate, layer fresh arugula, squash, beets, cooked lentils, and pulled rotisserie chicken and top with a drizzle of vinaigrette, such as Wolfgang Kaufmann Salad Dressing.

Meal 4 – Southwestern Chopped Chicken Salad
In a large bowl, layer shredded green leaf lettuce, fresh chopped tomatoes, avocado, canned corn and black beans, crushed tortilla chips, and pulled rotisserie chicken. Top with a couple tablespoons of chipotle ranch dressing, or Bristol Farms Zesty Salsa.

Meal 5 – Vietnamese Cabbage Salad with Chicken
Toss roughly chopped rotisserie chicken with shredded cabbage, chopped scallions, and julienned carrots in a large bowl. In a small bowl, mix a dressing of lime juice, fish sauce, sugar, and vinegar until the sugar is fully dissolved. Pour the dressing over the top of the salad and toss well to coat. Fold in roughly chopped mint and peanuts.
