Chocolate Dipped Strawberries for Valentine's Day

Among the many Valentine treats that can be found in our Bakery, you will find one of my favorite - chocolate dipped strawberries. Beautiful, juicy, ripe strawberries pair wonderfully with creamy, dreamy chocolate. What better way is there to express your love and appreciation for your special someone than showering them with stunning strawberries hand-dipped in chocolate? None, I tell you! This week, our Bakeries will be working around the clock sourcing fresh, beautiful strawberries to be hand-dipped in a rich, decadent chocolate and designed with the utmost of care. Our chocolate dipped strawberries will be available for purchase starting Tuesday, February 10th. You can find our strawberries prepackaged and convenient to pick up and go. Celebrate Pie Day with Half Pies

National Pie day may be an unofficial holiday, but it’s still a reason to celebrate pie. If you’re like most of us who started dieting on January 1st, then you’re probably ready for a cheat day. National Pie day is the perfect day to cheat, and we have a really sweet deal for you - our ½ pies are priced at $3.99 each, which is a $3.00 savings! You can choose from a variety of flavors such as apple, cherry, blueberry, and peach. Did you know there was an American Pie Council? Chili – It's What's for Dinner

Since it's inception, Chili has evolved into many different recipes, and every passionate chili-lover on the planet can make an argument about the best chili recipe. We've seen everything from chili con carne (chili with meat), to a meatless version, a beanless version, and even pure vegetable chili. Whatever the concoction may be, all chilis can be described as a spicy hearty stew and is one of America's best-loved comfort foods for winter. Bristol Farms is home to a variety of delicious, fresh, hand-cooked chilis. Just like our soups, we cook off small batches of chili daily. Bristol Farms' Homemade Gingerbread

Nothing symbolizes the winter holidays quite like gingerbread. With a rich history dating back to the 15th century, this traditional European bread was originally made in a cake form cut into shapes. Ginger was found to be a natural preservative when baked and was made in part for its digestive properties. Gingerbread has come to be associated with winter holidays, but it was originally used for other holidays and festivals. In the spring, Easter was celebrated with gingerbread cut into buttons and flowers, and in autumn it was cut into leaves and trees. One source says that in Germany unmarried women were to eat the gingerbread men in hopes of finding a husband! At one point gingerbread-making was recognized as a profession with the bakers having exclusive right to make it, except at Christmas. Buche De Noel, also known as a Yule Log, is the French version of this traditional dessert served at Christmastime. History tells us that a Yule Log was burned on Christmas Eve as a way of warding off evil and preparing for the next season. While we can appreciate history and traditions, we are especially delighted when they evolve to include eating as part of the celebration. Our Bakery is changing for the better. We are dedicated to bringing you the best tasting, and freshest products that we can. You may have noticed our new Artisan Bread line, if you haven’t tried it yet you have to stop by the Bakery and grab a loaf. We wanted to offer a bread line made with natural ingredients in a smaller size with a value price, and we have delivered on this. Natural Ingredients What is natural? We believe natural means no artificial flavors, preservatives, or colors. Our breads are made from the simplest ingredients around: flour, water, and salt with some honey or flax seed thrown in for flavor. Nine of the twelve new breads contain spelt flour, and two contain Khorasan flour. Our breads are full of flavor and aroma and are also gentler to our bodies because they are easier to digest. The Big Deal About Brioche

What's the big deal about Brioche? You may have noticed the increase of this golden bread item popping up more often in bakeries, and it's for good reason. Brioche adds a rich and memorable experience to dishes, such as a simple sandwich, hamburger, French toast, or bread pudding. Brioche is enriched French bread, meaning that the dough contains a high proportion of milk, butter, and eggs. This combination of ingredients gives the bread a very fine, soft crumb and somewhat flaky texture. While baking, brioche gets its signature buttery golden crust which adds to the eating experience.
