A staple for any household. Apple Cider Hair Rinse: Combine 1 cup water with 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar. After shampooing, apply to hair and rinse thoroughly. No need for conditioner! Bristol Farms' Artisanal Bronze‑Died Pasta

posted on August 2nd, 2016 by Mike McMahon

Italy is home to the world’s best pasta artisans, so we traveled to Italy’s breathtaking Molise region to create our very own line of pastas. Made from Italian-grown durum wheat semolina, our pasta is crafted in the authentic, old-world Italian tradition. The difference between our pasta and others lies in the process: the dough is extruded slowly through bronze dies and then patiently air-dried on looms and wooden trays for up to 20 hours. The result is a rustic, flavorful pasta with a perfect al dente bite. Though it pairs beautifully with our new Marinara Sauce, it’s so delicious all you really need is a bit of butter or olive oil to enjoy. Stock up on our new Artisanal Pasta so you’ve always got an exceptional, family-friendly meal at the ready.   Read More

Irish Soda Bread

posted on March 11th, 2016 by Lauren Pepin

Serve up a slice of the Emerald Isle this St. Patrick’s Day with Bristol's Own Irish Soda Bread! Irish Soda Bread was a traditional staple in Irish households, or farms to be correct. Since these homes were isolated and spread out, they had their own hearths for baking, and being a poor country, they ate bread with every meal. The hearth method of baking created a tender and dense bread with a hard crust and a slight twang in flavor. The Irish Soda Bread of today has been enhanced to have a slightly sweet flavor and it has raisins in it. Warm it up, slap some traditional Irish Kerrygold butter on it and you have a meal! At Bristol Farms we believe Irish Soda Bread to be an everyday item and you can find it in most of our locations. If you are like me though, sometimes if you see it every day you may not realize just how special it is. I can remember the first time I tried our Irish soda bread - I was a cashier at our Newport Beach store for a few years, but didn’t think this… Read More

Chili – It's What's for Dinner

posted on January 15th, 2016 by Carl Smith

Since it's inception, Chili has evolved into many different recipes, and every passionate chili-lover on the planet can make an argument about the best chili recipe. We've seen everything from chili con carne (chili with meat), to a meatless version, a beanless version, and even pure vegetable chili. Whatever the concoction may be, all chilis can be described as a spicy hearty stew and is one of America's best-loved comfort foods for winter. Bristol Farms is home to a variety of delicious, fresh, hand-cooked chilis. Just like our soups, we cook off small batches of chili daily. You can find our fresh chili in the refrigerated soup section of our Deli department in 15 oz. and 30 oz. containers, as well as one variety of chili served hot from our soup bar. Each month our soup menu changes to reflect seasonal offerings, and you can find the following varieties for the month of January: Snake Bite Chili and Route 66 Chili. We also have a great offer for a FREE 30 oz. container of chili… Read More
