Back to School Essentials "Kitchens" Style

posted on July 26th, 2016 by Kim Kaczor-Wardlow

Sadly, another summer is going by fast for our kids (and parents) who are already thinking about making way back to school. Now's the time to prepare for another successful school year, and with that comes the necessity for good food and tools for the food to travel in. Good food at Bristol Farms is a given, but I wanted to take this opportunity to show you some of the fantastic lines of food storage, backpacks, and lunch sacks that are just perfect for the school year, and now being offered in our kitchens department. With a focus on function, unique designs, and a great start-up story, here are a few of my favorite lines that I have sourced for our customers this year: LOVE Bags Based locally in Costa Mesa, Love Reusable Bags, Inc. was created by two good friends, Joe Rogers and Gary Crane. With a mission to offer innovative, fashionable, functional, and fun alternatives to the plastic bag and other disposable items, LOVE bags combined true function and long-lasting quality with a… Read More

Ergonomic Cleaning by Casabella

posted on July 13th, 2016 by Kim Kaczor-Wardlow

My team and I attended a great seminar last week led by Christopher Vosbikian of Casabella Household Cleaning Tools, where we learned so much about everyday cleaning with an emphasis on the "proper" way of cleaning. Christopher covered methods for doing our household dirty work that do not put the common strains on our bodies. I could actually hear my back shouting for joy as we learned of the benefits one can experience through Casabella cleaning products. I am going to take this opportunity to share this knowledge with you, starting with cleaning the floors! Step One - Painlessly sweep!! One thing to note about the sweep set broom and dustpan is you do not need to bend over at all while sweeping.  The dustpan has a soft ergonomic handle in which you can sweep your little dirt pile into the dustpan while standing upright. When you are done sweeping up piles, simply snap the broom to the dustpan and store it in your closet. It is free-standing or you can just as easily hang it from… Read More

Stone Candles – New Summer Scents

posted on July 6th, 2016 by Kim Kaczor-Wardlow

We are so proud and excited to partner with Stone Candles, and to offer their line of perfect and light refreshing scents for the season. Follow your nose to our Housewares Department for the following four fantastic fragrances for summer: Elder - Crisp green aroma of a freshly sliced cucumber is enveloped in a bouquet of lily of the valley, rose, freesia, and jasmine with hints of sweet melon and undertones of Dewy leaves. A heart of harvested white teal leaves gives this beautifully fragranced candle a light summery aroma. Acai - A bevy of sweet, succulent acai berries straight from the Amazon. Raspberry, strawberry, pear, and sweet pineapple make the top layer. The mid layer is classic jasmine, carnation, gardenia, peach and the bottom is a soft musk. Mangosteen - The fragrance begins with a strong mangosteen berry influence and a green galbanum character. These notes continue into the main theme where they are joined with a peach accord. This is followed by jasmine accord and… Read More

RSVP was founded in 1984 with an objective to provide quality products at competitive prices to kitchen specialty stores worldwide. They have a 24-person staff that range in not only age but longevity in their position at RSVP. This creates a delicious melting pot of flavors, ideas, and talent, which is partly why RSVP has been the first to introduce many creative new products such as the Nutty Squirrel Nutcracker, Dill Spice Spoons, Onion Goggles, Sip-Spoons, and Anne Marie’s Brownie Spatula to name a few. They have received industry-wide accolades for these and many other products. They strive to make cooking easier with pieces that are sustainable, effective, and will leave enough time for the home chef to enjoy those elusive special moments and create lasting memories. RSVP provides a broad range of specific purpose tools. They design their items to outlast and out-task any other brand customers might have hiding in their cupboards. That’s why RSVP dedicates itself to… Read More
