Super Sausage Sandwich

Serves 4
Perfect for your Super Bowl Party, this sandwich is very easy to make.

Pound

Hot Italian Pork or Turkey Sausage from our Meat Department (about four links to a pound)

Tablespoons

Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Each

Bristol Quality Yellow Onion, sliced thinly

1

Each 

Bristol Quality Red Bell Pepper, julienned

1

Each

Bristol Quality Yellow Bell Pepper, julienned

1

Each

Bristol Quality Green Bell Pepper, julienned

 

 

Kosher Salt and Freshly Ground Black Pepper

French Baguette from our Bakery Department

Tilamook Sharp Cheddar Cheese, shredded

 

Bake Italian Sausages for about 20 minutes or until fully cooked in preheated 350 degrees oven. Heat oil in a large saute; pan over high heat. Add sliced onions to pan and saute; for about 2 minutes. Add Red, Yellow, and Green Bell Peppers and season with salt and pepper. Continue cooking for another 2 minutes. Remove from heat, keep warm.. Cut French Baguette in four pieces. Slice each piece in half like you would with Hot Dog Buns. Place one sausage in each of the bread and topped with hot Onion and Peppers mixture. Top with shredded Cheddar Cheese and serve immediately.
