For all of you who are down for a homemade mid-week margarita, well, we salute you too. Go on with your bad self and enjoy a creamy concocted margarita that’s as unique as it is irresistibly delicious!
A timeless cocktail made with tequila, fresh squeezed lime juice, orange liqueur, and of course, some kosher salt, a classic margarita is truly one of the easier cocktails one can make…but add some avocado and you’ve just changed the game. It’s somewhat subtle in flavor…but the creaminess from the avocado is absolutely divine.
Avocado Margarita Recipe
- 1 ounce freshly squeeze lime juice
- 1 ounce Cointreau or triple sec
- 1 1/2 ounces Camarena tequila
- 2 tablespoons avocado
- Kosher salt for salt rim
- juice from 1/2 of a lime plus an extra lime wedge for the rim
- 1/2 teaspoon jalapeno (optional)
- 1 teaspoon cilantro (optional)
- 1/4 cup ice
Rub lime wedge over the rim of the glass. Add kosher salt to a small plate and turn glass over onto the salt to completely coat the rim with salt. Purée avocado, tequila, Cointreau, lime juice, cilantro, jalapeno, and ice, (preferably crushed) in a blender until smooth. Pour into glass. Enjoy!
