Cool Down with Summer Peach Pops

Looking for the perfect cool-down snack on a hot and sunny day? You can’t beat these tasty peachy-keen treats! They combine two of our favorite summertime things — refreshing frozen yumminess and sweet, succulent peaches. Requiring just a few simple ingredients, these flavorful freezer faves are a terrific do-together with the kids, who will enjoy making them almost as much as they enjoy eating them!

Plus, you’ll feel good about serving snacks made with real fresh fruit and very little added sugar — that’s because our juicy, tree-ripened peaches are already naturally sweet and delicious.

As part of our sweet fruit promise, we measure our peaches’ Brix (sugar levels) every day with a special tool called a “refractometer.” The higher the Brix, the sweeter the fruit! We never sell peaches with a rating lower than 11 on the Brix scale, so you can be sure you’re always getting the best-tasting peaches possible.

Ready to dig into the ultimate summertime treat? Try our recipe below, and we think you’ll agree these peachy pops are tops!

Yields 12 popcicles

4 medium-size ripe peaches (about 1 1/4 pounds total)

1/4 cup freshly squeezed orange juice

2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice

2 tablespoons granulated sugar, or to taste

1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Additional peach slices (optional)

Popsicle sticks

Cut peaches into halves and remove the pits. (Hint: Keep the skin on for additional nutrients, flavor and color!) Coarsely chop peaches in a food processor, leaving lots of chunky bits for extra texture. Put 1 cup of the chunky peaches into a separate medium-size bowl. Add orange juice, lemon juice and sugar to the food processor and blend until smooth. Add the pureed mixture to the peaches and stir in vanilla extract.

Evenly pour into 12 popsicle molds, leaving about 1/2 inch space at the top of each. Freeze for 1 hour, until they begin to set. If desired, slide an additional small peach slice into each pop for a fruity center surprise. Insert popsicle sticks into the pops — the mixture should be stiff enough so sticks stay in place. Freeze until completely firm, a few hours or overnight.

When ready to serve, run the molds under warm water to help release each pop.

Fun alternative: For the grownups, try a boozy twist by replacing the orange juice with 1 cup of rosé wine. Cheers!
