Taste the Sweetness in Our Summer Peaches

Super sweet summer peaches are officially here! We’re so in love with the the fuzzy and juicy fruit that screams summertime too. And dare we say our peaches are better than any variety we’ve tasted elsewhere?

So how do we ensure that our peaches rank supreme? It starts with our dedicated farmers, whose passion lies in the thoughtful and meticulous growing of the exceptional fruit.

Swearing to the Sweetness

Unlike so many peaches you’ve regretfully eaten, our local peaches are tree-ripened until they’ve reached the peak of sweetness. Our multi-generational farmers we’ve come to know and trust have learned that timing is everything when it comes to picking only the perfect peaches off of their trees.

Calling all Peach Lovers & Science Buffs

The Brix Scale – this system is the key to the sweet peach promise. Our farmers swear by it and now, so do we. It’s used on the farms, before the peaches are shipped to our stores, and then again, once we’ve received each batch of fruit.

So how does it work exactly? It’s a measuring system that essentially scores our peaches sweetness level throughout the entire season. Peaches range from 6-16 Brix degrees. The higher the Brix, the sweeter the fruit.

15-16 Unbelievable Sweetness: Almost goes beyond the threshold for human pleasure
13-14 Extraordinary Sweetness: Aromatic, juicy, and flavor-packed. This level is our standard for peaches
11-12 Excellent Sweetness: sweet-tasting, flavorful (this is our standard though some may be sweeter!)
8-10 Good and flavorful
6-7 Inconsistent ripening and flavor
Don’t just take our word for it. Taste the sweetness today.
