Mona’s Cauliflower Bake | Mom’s Best Recipe

We all know Mom knows best. During the month of May, we celebrated all the moms out there with a very special contest. This is one of the memory-filled recipes sent in from grateful sons & daughters from our community 💖 #momsbestmeal

Yields 4 servings

  • 1 head cauliflower
  • 2-4 stalks (depending on size) celery, diced
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • Sour cream
  • Cheese (optional)

  • 1. Place the entire cauliflower in hot boiling water with a tbsp of sugar.
  • 2. Cook for about 10 to 15 minutes at most. When soft it is done.
  • 3. Remove cauliflower, cut it up, and place it in a baking dish.
  • 4. Toss any of the green leaves. Just use the head of the cauliflower.
  • 5. Add in the pan a little water, the celery and on top place all of the cauliflower.
  • 6. Then, spread on some sour cream. Cover all the cauliflower. Add any cheese you prefer on top of the sour cream. I used a blend of cheeses but you can use your favorite one that melts the best. Don’t use processed cheese. Grab the real stuff.
  • 7. Put it in the oven between 350 to 375 degrees (my oven is 400 degrees, but most can get the job done with less heat) and bake until the cheese melts. Ready to eat and serve.
