Mmmm....pizza. It's delicious no matter the variation. No cheese, extra cheese, thin crust, Chicago deep dish, extra veggies, sans veggies...we love it all. But what we really love is pizza cooked on the grill. There's just something special about that grilled, crunchy crust covered in melty cheese and of course, all the delicious toppings.
Since it's officially summer peach season and as far as we're concerned, peaches are the more the merrier in the kitchen right now, we've created an ode to the peach in pizza pie form. Peach Iced Tea Pops
Drop whole wedges of sweet peach in your favorite iced tea mix and freeze for a delicious frozen treat. In need of frozen treat molds? Visit our Housewares Department for a variety of fun shapes and sizes. Want to make some frozen treats for the kids? In place of iced tea, try fruit juice or fruit puree for a kid-friendly version. You can also make a very grown up version by adding a splash of your favorite spirit or liqueur, such as vodka or Grand Marnier. Super simple, sweet, and chilly.

Peaches, Nectarines, Plums, and other soft fruits are in season! While they are all deliciously eaten on their own, these sweet fruits can also be paired with savory items and added to a number of recipes. One pairing we are particularly fond of is our Summer Flame peaches and a variety of cheeses, like Ricotta, Mozzarella Burrata, Bellwether Fromage Blanc, Creme Fraiche Bellwether, Saint Angel Triple Cream, and Champignon Rougette...just to name a few.
Our favorite and most versatile cheese in peach pairing happens to be Ricotta! The rich and creamy texture balances nicely with the sweetness of peach. We have a few simple suggestions when pairing Ricotta and peach to kick it up a notch: add some granola, honey, nuts, or jam. Our fresh peach salsa from our Deli would also be great paired with Ricotta; the spice will be balanced out with the creamy cheese.

The 4th of July holiday may be over, but summer is just getting started. Beat the heat this summer with some delicious peach recipes that are sure to cool you down while satiating your thirst, hunger, and sweet tooth.
Summeripe White Peach Mojito
3 to 4 very ripe Summeripe White Peaches
1 lime, sliced into 4 wedges
2 oz white rum
1 oz simple syrup
handful of fresh mint leaves
splash of lemon-lime soda or sparkling water
1. Slice Summeripe White Peaches over a cocktail shaker to capture all of fruit juice.
2. Place Summeripe White Peach slices into the cocktail shaker and muddle until slices are thoroughly juiced. Set aside.
3. Place mint leaves and 1 lime wedge into a sturdy glass, use a muddler to crush mint leaves and lime wedge.
4. Strain Summeripe White Peach juice into the glass and add in simple syrup and 2 more lime wedges, muddle again to release all of the lime juice.
