DIY Facial Masks

Manuka Honey

A quick and easy mask with just one ingredient? Sweet!

The world loves Manuka honey and for good reason. True Manuka honey is named after the indigenous flowering plant popular for its antibacterial, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory properties. It’s no wonder the benefits of Manuka honey extend into skincare as well. Ready to soothe irritation, brighten dark circles, and ward off acne with some Manuka magic? Start with a pea-sized portion and warm it between your (clean) fingers. Layer it on and wait 15 minutes before washing off and patting dry.

bowls of yogurt and turmeric

Yogurt and Turmeric

Skip the morning parfait and give your skin a treat. (Or, do both…you deserve it!)

Moisturizing and soothing, yogurt works in tandem with the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties of turmeric to leave your skin glowing. But, be careful: turmeric can stain light fabrics, so wash up thoroughly after applying.

Mix 3 tbsp unsweetened plain Greek yogurt with 1 tsp of turmeric powder. Apply a thin layer of paste to your skin. Wait 15 minutes, wash off, and pat dry. Bonus round: If you’ve got leftovers, you can apply it to your scalp for healthy, shiny hair!

honey aloe in a jar

Oatmeal, Aloe Vera, and Honey

We’re super fans of this superfood. Oatmeal is loaded with antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds, plus both exfoliating and emolliating properties—all of which make this simple grain a mighty miracle for angry skin. Combine with aloe vera and give your skin a soothing treat. Use the real deal if you’ve got fresh aloe leaf on hand. If not, aloe vera gel works great too!

Combine 2 tbsp of ground oats, 2 tbsp of aloe vera, and 2 tbsp of honey and mix until it forms a paste. Wait 15 minutes before washing it off and patting dry.

See? It doesn’t take much to achieve deliciously smooth skin. Enjoy these simple DIY masks and restore your glow while you relax with a lovely rosé.
