Our signature burrata’s soft, stracciatella center is complemented by Ritrovo’s Italian Black Truffle Honey in this rich, low-effort appetizer. Simple yet indulgent, enjoy a complex profile that’s bursting with decadent, umami goodness.
Ingredients
1 Bristol Farms Burrata
2 tablespoons Ritrovo Italian Black Truffle Honey
1 teaspoon flaky sea salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
a few sprigs of fresh thyme, for garnish
toasted sourdough, a warm baguette, or artisanal crackers, for serving
Directions
-
Remove the burrata from the refrigerator at least 30 to 45 minutes before serving. If it’s too cold, the cream inside won't flow, and the truffle honey flavors won't be as vibrant.
-
Gently pat the burrata dry with a paper towel and place it in the center of a shallow bowl or serving platter.
-
Use a sharp knife to score a small "X" on the top of the cheese, or gently tear it open with two forks to let the creamy stracciatella center start to spill out.
-
Generously drizzle the truffle honey directly into the center and over the sides of the cheese.
-
Sprinkle the flaky sea salt and cracked black pepper over the top. If using fresh herbs, scatter them over the plate now.
-
Surround the cheese with warm bread or crackers and serve immediately.
