Strawberry Balsamic Spritz
Love at first sip! This elegant spritz delivers a harmonious blend of sweet and savory flavors with delicacy and finesse. Umami-rich balsamic complements the sweetness of fresh strawberries, yielding a beautiful match for cured meats and aged cheeses. 

Ingredients

  • 3 fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced

  • 1 1/2 London Dry Gin

  • 1/2 ounce Bristol Farms Balsamic Vinegar

  • 1/2 ounce (optional, depending on the sweetness of your berries)

  • 3 ounces Prosecco (chilled)

  • splash of club soda

  • a fresh basil leaf or a crack of black pepper, for garnish

Directions

  1. In a cocktail shaker, combine the sliced strawberries and balsamic. Muddle thoroughly until the berries are broken down and the liquid is dark and syrupy.
  2. Add the gin and simple syrup (if using) to the shaker. Fill with ice and shake vigorously for about 10 to 15 seconds to chill and aerate.
  3. Using a Hawthorne strainer and a fine-mesh tea strainer, double-strain into a large glass.
  4. Gently pour in the Prosecco and top with a splash of club soda
  5. Stir very briefly to integrate and garnish with a fresh basil leaf or a crack of black pepper.
