Thanksgiving Sausage Stuffing
Spice up your traditional stuffing recipe with Lottie's ground breakfast sausage - made with all natural pork, chile flake, maple syrup, and fresh herbs!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Lottie's Everyday Sausage

  • 1 yellow onion, small diced

  • 2 celery stalks, small diced

  • 1 sourdough loaf, preferably stale cut into chunks

  • 1 cup shredded gouda cheese

  • 2 eggs

  • 2 cups chicken stock

  • pinch of salt and pepper, to taste

Optional Ingredients

  • 2 carrots, small diced

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease (we prefer butter) a 9x13 baking dish.
  2. Cook one pound of Lottie’s 'Everyday' Sausage on medium-high heat until brown and set aside in large bowl to cool.
  3. In the same pan, sauté onions, celery and carrots (season lightly with salt) on medium heat until tender.
  4. In a small bowl, beat eggs and add stock and set aside.
  5. Add sautéed veggies to browned sausage and mix in bread and shredded cheese. Pour half the egg mixture in and toss.
  6. Place in baking dish and pour rest of egg mixture over stuffing.
  7. Cover and bake for ~ 40-50 minutes.
