We’re inviting Brussels sprouts to the table this year, adding to the green dream team roster. Green beans can’t have all the fun! There are many ways to make these misunderstood mini cabbages a tasty part of your plate. They’re great roasted, sautéed, charred, or caramelized. Whether you’re cooking them in the oven, on the stove, or even in your air fryer, there’s no sprout about it—this Brussels recipe is worth a try.
1 1/2 pounds Brussels sprouts
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1/4 teaspoon salt
4 slices bacon, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
Preheat your oven to 400°F.
Slice off the bottom of each sprout and then slice in half lengthwise, discarding any discolored or wilted leaves.
Toss the halved sprouts in the maple syrup and olive oil.
Sprinkle with the salt and bacon pieces, and spread evenly on a baking sheet.
Roast until the sprouts and bacon are crispy and caramelized, about 45 minutes.
Ready to serve!
