Dill Mashed Potatoes

Dill Mashed Potatoes
Tangy dill brings brightness and vibrancy to a true classic Thanksgiving side.

Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes, peeled and cubed

  • 1/4 cup whole milk

  • 3 tablespoons butter

  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill

  • salt and pepper, to taste

Directions

  1. Place the cubed potatoes in a large pot of salted water.
  2. Bring the water to a boil and reduce the heat to medium-high.
  3. Simmer the potatoes for 15 to 20 minutes, until they are tender and can be pierced easily with a fork.
  4. Drain the potatoes in a colander and return them to the pot.
  5. Add butter to the pot and mash the potatoes with a potato masher until they are smooth and free of lumps.
  6. Gradually add the milk to the potatoes, stirring constantly, until the mixture is creamy and smooth.
  7. Stir in the fresh dill and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Continue to stir the mashed potatoes until the dill is evenly distributed.
  9. Serve the dill mashed potatoes warm and garnished with additional fresh dill.
